2. What Information We Collect

For event hosts (registered accounts):

• Full name and email address
• Password (stored securely as a hashed value — we never store your plain password)
• Gathering details you create (title, date, location, description)

For guests (RSVP respondents):

• Full name and email address
• Phone number (optional)
• RSVP status (confirmed, maybe, declined, or waitlisted)
• Notes to host (optional, if provided during RSVP)

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your gathering or RSVP
• To allow the event host to see who is attending
• To send event-related updates and reminders (where applicable)
• To maintain the security and reliability of our platform

We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to third parties.

4. Who We Share Your Information With

Guest information (name, email, phone, RSVP status) is shared with the event host who created the gathering. It is not shared with any other parties.

We may use trusted third-party services to operate our platform (such as hosting and email delivery). These providers are contractually required to keep your data secure and may not use it for their own purposes.

5. Cookies

We use a single authentication cookie to keep you logged in as a host. This cookie is essential for the platform to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Data Retention

Host accounts and gathering data are retained for as long as your account is active. Guest RSVP data is retained for as long as the associated gathering exists. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at hello@micromeet.app.

7. Subscription History Records

When you subscribe to a paid plan, we retain a minimal record of your email address and the date of your first subscription. This record is kept even if you later delete your account. We use it solely to determine trial eligibility and prevent abuse of our free trial offer — it is not used for marketing or shared with third parties.

This processing is based on our legitimate interest in the fair operation of our free trial policy. If you wish to request erasure of this record, you may do so by emailing hello@micromeet.app. We will assess each request individually and respond within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed password storage. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of MicroMeet after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
